Covid-19 Safety Plan for Al Porto Ristorante

At Al Porto Ristorante, the well being of our guests, staff and families is our priority.  What has become obvious is that our business will need to learn to exist within a new framework and some of the protocols we have put in place will now become our new normal.

As our provincial health authorities have mentioned, hand washing and cleanliness are key in slowing the spread of Covid-19. At Al Porto, we have adopted a firm hygiene policy for all of our staff members to follow:

·        washing and sanitizing of hands after interaction at each table

·        thorough hand washing every 20 minutes

·        no physical contact between staff members

·        wearing of masks during service

Although we will continue to provide you with the best we have to offer, we are changing things a tiny bit:

·        we have limited the number of guests at each table to a maximum of six

·        we are seating tables at least two meters apart and are limiting to fifty the number of guests in the restaurant at any given time

linen and napkins will be single use and sent out for professional cleaning

·        all chairs will be sanitized after tables have vacated

·        our menus will be sanitized after each use and all are available online at

·        we have eliminated items such as candles and salt and pepper shakers from tables

·        contact information from one member of your group will be requested for contact tracing purposes

Our staff is fully committed to ensuring your safety.  As service professionals we have chosen to limit our circle of contact to family and close friends. In addition,

·        all workers are asked if they are feeling ill or showing any symptoms of Covid-19 and will not be scheduled to work if they are

·        workers are asked to limit the number of employees in staff areas at one time
